Ring with white shell, 925 silver, hand-carved flower

A ring with a white shell that looks like a small treasure found in an old casket. It doesn’t attract attention by force and doesn’t dominate the hand. Rather, it is the kind of jewelry that simply wears well and over time becomes something to be taken for granted.

From the beginning, I wanted it to have a slightly vintage feel. One that goes with everything and accentuates the finger instead of overwhelming it. You can wear it every day without wondering if it “fits”. It looks good both alone and in the company of other rings.

I carved a delicate flower in a white shell. The material is not perfectly smooth and this is what gives it its softness. The light lays on the surface of the shell calmly and unevenly, so that the ring does not look like a new factory item.

The sterling silver is subdued, without excessive shine. The ring of leaves and thin twigs adds a slightly old-fashioned character to the whole. The form is light and comfortable, so the ring fits well on the hand and does not dominate the finger.

This ring with a white shell was created in one piece. I do not plan to repeat it. It is a piece of jewelry that does not need a special occasion and does not impose itself with its presence. Rather, it stays with someone for a long time.

Shell is a natural material, so each piece differs subtly in texture and color. Combined with the handwork, this makes the ring have something unobvious and difficult to replicate. This effect was intended from the very beginning.
